I love making crust from scratch instead of already made. It’s super easy and doesn’t take long at all! Give it a try! You can use this buttery pie crust on so many recipes

  • 1 Cup or 2 Sticks of cold butter cubed
  • 2 1/4 Cup of Flour
  • 8-10 Tbsp of Ice Water
  1. 1. In the bowl of a food processor combine the flour and butter until small pea sized crumbs form. It usually takes 15-20 seconds with occasional pulses
  2. 2. On tbsp at a time add to the food processor until the dough pulls away from the sides and forms one ball
  3. 3. Pour onto a lightly floured surface and form into two balls. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap
  4. 4. Refrigerate for 1-24 hours
  5. 5. You may also freeze this dough until ready to use
  6. 6. Take out of fridge for a few minutes to slightly soften before rolling out
  7. 7. Can be used for pies and or quiches
  8. 8. Pairs well with my Asparagus, ham, and gruyerer quiche
