Asparagus Ham and Gruyère Quiche Recipe is an early morning favorite, make it once and enjoy for a couple of mornings after!

  • 4 Oz Ham Cubed
  • 1 Cup Gruyère Cheese shredded
  • 2 shallots
  • 1 Cup Diced Asparagus
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 Cup half and half
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 2 Sprigs of thyme chopped
  1. 1. Use My “Buttery Pie Crust” recipe or a store bought pie crust
  2. 2. Preheat oven to 350°F
  3. 3. If using my buttery pie crust recipe- on a lightly floured surface roll out 1 pie crust to line a 9 inch pie dish
  4. 4. Transfer dough to dish by rolling the dough around the rolling pin
  5. 5. Lightly press dough into dish and up the sides
  6. 6. Bake for 15 minutes or until dough begins to slightly brown
  7. 7. While dough is par baking prepare the filling- whisk the eggs and half and half together in a bowl season with a dash of salt and pepper. Set Aside.
  8. 8. Dice ham, asparagus, and shallots. Shred cheese if it wasn’t bought pre-shredded.
  9. 9. Finely chop the thyme
  10. 10. Once the crust comes out of the oven evenly distribute the ham, asparagus, and shallot in the bottom of the dish.
  11. 11. Pour egg mixture over top and top with cheese and thyme.
  12. 12. Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes or until set.
  13. 13. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing
